To address your point of left over materials, the kitchen you purchased was a special order painted kitchen with a 4-6 week lead time, when designing and ordering these kitchens we like to make sure there is no shortfall of materials as there is a lead time on any remedial items, we know how frustrating it can be to have a kitchen 98% finished and then have to wait for extra items to complete.
